Here in Joplin…
It was just a week ago that I contacted Robin Sigars and asked if we could come down and stay at Cartersville Christian Church and do whatever was needed. He agreed to accommodate us and within 24 hours I sent out an email and posted on facebook and the website what I was wanting to do. The response was overwhelming and within another 24 hours we had 30 people signed up and were creating a waiting list for those who were still interested.
It is exciting to see God’s people respond in such an incredible way to the need when it is offered. Many others who were not able to join us offered their support by giving money to cover all of our expenses and to leave several hundred dollars here with the church. This will help them continue to support and care for those who are still in need. People are learning what God desires from His people. It is my hope that this will continue not only with Joplin but across the world as our focus turns towards those in need physically and spiritually.
After leaving Indianapolis today at 2:30 we finally arrived in Joplin around 11:45 and have gotten settled in and are ready to get some sleep. Please keep us in your prayers as we go through out the day tomorrow.
