Calling Blitz
Over the last several weeks we have been planning for our fall programming and really gearing up to communicate what exciting things are going to be happening in our ministry this fall. We knew that momentum would be down unless we did something to create a buzz, as we have recently lost our senior minister of 17 years. So, back in April we decided to do what is called a calling blitz.
We put together several pieces of information that would benefit those who have not been in awhile as well as inform parents of what was going on. We also included a promo piece for our kick-off event and a bracelet that was required to get in. One other piece that was included was a letter to the parents and a form that they could sign if they were interested in being a part of the ministry. See the picture below.
We traveled several hundred miles and delivered over 400 bags to homes of Jr. and High school students. While it was a lot of work we made great contact with parents and had the chance to talk to some students about what was coming up this fall. Student were excited about it as well as they made several comments to us about coming to their homes.
