Two Churches Partner

Well the verdict is in, we (Valley Mills and Heartland Crossing) have approved the partnership of Valley Mills and The Church at Heartland Crossing. I am so excited that we as a church are following the direction that God continues to lay out in front of us. We are setting an example as a two churches that can come together and partner with one another for the benefit of reaching a community. Leaving egos and titles behind we can fulfill the Great Commission together.

With the vote Steve Kehrer will be joining our staff on a part-time level. Steve will be focusing his attention to working with our worship teams and developing the traditional worship service. He will be working with our those who have reached that age in life where they have time and God has a place to help them serve the church and community. Along with that he will be teaching on a regular basis and preaching many times through out the year. Steve comes to us as one who is a leader and has a heart to see people come to know God personally.

On September 12, Valley Mills will “Celebrate” this partnership together in worship as we join together for good on this Sunday. Please take the time to welcome everyone who comes through our doors (they may be from Heartland and they may not be) so that they may know we are a church who loves people and desires to worship God with all that we are.

God is moving! Invite your neighbors and friends to join us on September 12 as we uncover a new page in the life of our church and the Kingdom of God.

    What exactly does this partnership mean? Are you guys having a traditional service and regular? Or did I read that wrong?

    Zack,

    We already have two services. One is contemporary and one is traditional whatever those terms really mean. However, what I am referring to here is that we have two churches who are partnering together to become one church. We will be united under the label Valley Mills Christian Church (check us out at http://www.valleymills.org) and will no longer be separate churches.
