Sunday
What an exhausting day!
Sunday started early as I gathered with a group of adults and teens who were headed down to New Orleans for the week to continue working on relief efforts. As the group made it into town Chase (our youth guy) said it was still incredibly in need of major work. A tragedy that happened several years ago is still in need of being restored. However, we have people on the ground who are ready to get some work done and see how God can use them. Let’s be praying for these guys and there time in New Orleans.
Then it was time to preach. We have our normal two services and they both went really well. Even with it being the beginning of Spring Break we still had good attendance. People response on Sunday mornings has been really good and I look forward to seeing what God will be doing this Easter at Valley Mills. Please continue to pray that God is present and that what ever happens he is glorified.
The day was still not over though. We had our small group dinner that evening and got to enjoy some great people and really good food. My wife had the great idea of encouraging everyone to invite someone who is not currently a part of a group to come and join us. It was a great turn out with almost 50 people including children. This small group is quickly going to need to change hands and become at least two if not three small groups. We need to have groups that new people can join and be a part of. This is the best way to make it happen.
So, after sending our group off at 5:00am, preaching two service, getting food ready, small group food and study we finally got home around 9:00 exhausted.
It is fun to see what God is doing in Valley Mills Life!
