I am on a journey to see how God will use me in this messy thing called the "Church." While on that journey I have just recently moved to a new role as a Sr. Pastor. Not real sure what that means really, but God is moving and I will follow the wave as it goes.

People suck…

Alright, I have your attention now.  I find it amazing how often I look at the people who are coming in to talk to me about things that are important in their lives and I take a poor attitude towards them.  I feel like at times I look at people and I say, “People Suck!”

However, in ministry all of what we are doing revolves around and exists because people are our greatest asset.  In ministry we have to be continually reminded that “People are our Greatest Asset.”  Think back to the early days of your ministry.  Remember the thoughts that were going through your head about connecting with people and seeing lives change.  It was everything in you that pulsed to be a part of a movement that was changing lives.  That movement is the CHURCH and we all get to be a part of it.  We will see our churches grow.  We will see lives changed.  We will see new leaders developed.  Will see people sharing Christ with one another.  If we continue to make “People our Greatest Asset.”

What is it that you can do this weekend at your church to help others feel more like they are part of a movement?  How can you bring value to someone else’s life?  If we are in ministry because people matter then we must show them they matter.
