It’s coming out…
“Nothing outside a man can make him unclean by going into him. Rather, it is what comes out of a man that makes him unclean.”
As I read in Mark this morning this verse stopped me and I am unable to move forward. I just got done preaching a series in which we used this verse and at the time I spent quite a while just studying and trying to understand the premise of these verses. However, today I am stopped.
Look at the decisions, reactions and thoughts that you have had in the last 3 or 4 days. What has come out of you that makes you unclean? Has there been some reactions to your children that you know where not right but justified because you are the parent. Maybe even with your spouse. Have you been totally supportive of your team or the team that you are on with the things you have said to others?
As I read these words this morning it just reminds me that we are striving to reach that level of perfection that Christ had but is unattainable for us except through, FORGIVENESS. Which I am thankful that we have a God who allows us to come before Him with our faults and struggles and still be used in His kingdom. Still though we must realize that it is easy for us to become like the Pharisee’s and we must be on gaurd at all times so that what comes out of us is not “unclean.”
I am praying for those who will read this that we will be clean!
