I am on a journey to see how God will use me in this messy thing called the "Church." While on that journey I have just recently moved to a new role as a Sr. Pastor. Not real sure what that means really, but God is moving and I will follow the wave as it goes.

A new brainstorming method

feature photo

This past week I met with our team of leaders who devleop the programming side of our services.  This is a team of about 8 – 12 people who are either worship leaders or they play some part in the execution of our student services.  Over the last year we have been meeting once a month to plan the series for the month ahead.  This has worked well.  However, it is time to take it to the next level.

We are moving to a large group planning session once a month and then into a more detailed planning session once a week.  The large group setting will help us come up with the big ideas that we need to be creative and to provide an experience for our students.  The smaller setting will provide for us the conversation that we need to have in planning out the details with the worship leaders themselves and a few other key people.  In this process we should be able to get three months ahead of ourselves and really allow the time necessary for us to create an EPIC worship environment.

I am working really hard to teach our student how they can lead this type of session in brainstorming and planning for the services that they are leading.  Without the prior thought and idea time they will get to their week and not be able to be creative and allow the spirit to move in any other way that teaching and music. How are you leading your students to the next level?

The pictures attached just show some of what we are trying to accomplish.
