With Mother’s Day on the horizon.  At “the Quest we decided to have a couple of mom’s come and share with us the blessings they received from their mom.  Each of the ladies who shared did a great job of communicating life and faith relationships that exist between them and their mother’s.  It was interesting to hear each of them share as one grew up with a mom who knew religion but did not know Jesus.  However, at the age of twenty both her and mom were baptized together.  It was cool to hear here share about how their relationship over the years has really grown and how God has used mom to encourage her.

The other mom shared from the perspective that her mom was her greatest cheerleader and help her handle the pressure of life.  She also grew up as a preacher’s kid and shared some fun experiences from that perspective.  Her mom was one who never said an unkind word about anyone and it was encouraging to have her share the appreciation that she has for mom because of this and the struggle that she continues to have as she strives to be like Jesus.

Both of these ladies did a great job and it was a cool experience to have them share.

The worship team did an incredible job leading and guiding us in a time of worship.  We are blessed to have such a talented group of students.  Not just in this band but in all five of our student bands.  God really did some cool things yesterday and it was awesome to be a part of it.
