Gospel responsibility
In my reading today I came across the following verse:
“On the contrary, when they saw that I had been entrusted with the gospel to the uncircumcised, just as Peter had been entrusted with the gospel to the circumcised.”
In Galatians we find Paul speking about shairng with us the process that he has gone through to become a teacher of the cross of Christ. A process that goes against everything that he had previously been taught and one that leaves him with and incredibly heavy load to carry.
Paul uses the words, “he has been entrusted with the gospel…” As I read through this the realization that we who are teaching and preaching the gospel are not just doing it because it is fun. Rather, God has entrusted us with His word to communicate it to a generation that is seeking. This responisbility should lay heavy on us as we see it laying heavy on Paul throughout his ministry.
